Toronto, ON – Porter Airlines has announced its most extensive winter schedule to date, securing its place as Toronto’s second-largest airline. The airline now operates up to 180 flights daily, serving 34 destinations across Canada and the U.S. from both Toronto Pearson and Billy Bishop airports, providing travelers with expanded access to Porter’s elevated economy experience.

At Toronto Pearson International Airport, Porter will run 86 daily flights—a 19% increase over last winter—with new routes to West Palm Beach, San Diego, Thunder Bay, and Palm Springs. All flights from Pearson feature the airline’s 132-seat Embraer E195-E2, a modern aircraft known for comfort and efficiency. This growth has established Porter as the second-largest airline for Canada-U.S. travel at Pearson, with Florida service doubling to up to 20 daily flights to six cities across the state.

“Porter’s expansion has been remarkable, adding 21 routes at Pearson since 2023,” noted Kurush Minocher, Executive Director of Customer Experience and Airline Relations at Toronto Pearson. “We’re pleased to see four new destinations added this winter and anticipate continued growth to meet passenger demand.”
Porter’s roots remain strong at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, where it operates up to 94 daily flights to 15 destinations across Canada and the U.S., allowing for convenient access to downtown Toronto.

RJ Steenstra, President and CEO of PortsToronto, said, “Porter Airlines started its journey at Billy Bishop in 2006 and has grown into one of Canada’s largest and most respected airlines. This winter, we’re thrilled to partner with Porter in offering the high-quality service that travelers have come to expect.”
With daily seat capacity now reaching 9,340 across Toronto airports, Porter connects travelers to every Canadian province and popular U.S. destinations like Arizona, California, Florida, and Nevada.

Kevin Jackson, Porter Airlines’ President, said, “Becoming Toronto’s second-largest airline reflects our commitment to redefining economy travel across North America. It’s a privilege to serve our passengers with Porter’s unique approach to service.”
Passengers flying Porter enjoy no middle seats, complimentary beer and wine in glassware, premium snacks, and free high-speed WiFi on Embraer E195-E2 flights, adding a touch of comfort and convenience to every journey.
