A young dynamic Sierra Leonean female entrepreneur Haja Isatu Bah CEO and founder of Uman4uman emerged as the champion of the Orange Social Innovation Venture which was held on Wednesday 8 September, 2021. A cash prize of 100 Million Leones was awarded to the astute young CEO Ms Bah.
Speaking to Haja she expressed thanks and appreciation on behalf of herself and her team as a whole.
“ I feel great because this is huge for my social enterprise. My team and I are grateful,” Isatu Bah stated.
Present at the ceremony was the Minister of Technical and Higher Education Professor Alpha Tejan Wurie, who presented the cash prize of 100 Million Leones to this year’s winner.
The pitch competition attracted many social ventures across the country which makes the competition highly competitive and rigorous in which Uman4uman became the most pleasing venture to the experienced and outstanding judges, who were only hearing about uman4uman for the first time.
Uman4uman is a social enterprise that focuses on addressing the issue of period poverty among young girls in Sierra Leone.
