It rather seems to be obvious that the living conditions of people living in the streets are very bad, more especially the streets of Freetown. Feeding, clothing and shelter are their greatest challenge, but the narrative seems to be changing there is one nonprofit organization that is coming to the aid of these people “Social Workers Sierra Leone – SWSL”.
This organization is rendering one of the greatest support to those living in the streets. Every other weekend they engaged on a weekly “Sunday Walk To Feed” exercise. An exercise which will take them to different vicinities in the city and they will provide foodstuff and clothing materials for the less privileged, people with mental challenges and the physically challenged.

This exercise is helping these people to be sustainable and being tidy, looking at the cost of living and even some normal citizens don’t live on $5 per day. The one unique thing about this exercise is that it brings along ordinary individuals, superstars, business people and volunteers who are willing will walk around the city to drop off the stuff.

Social workers Sierra Leone is a social work hub born out of the desire to promote and influence social work’s mission, values, ethical principles and standards through training, fieldwork and supervision. Also as part of their activities, they donate school learning materials to school going pupils.
