Former Manchester City and Ivory Coast midfield maestro Yaya Touré has added another milestone to his illustrious footballing journey by earning his UEFA Pro License, the highest coaching qualification in European football.
The 41-year-old, widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of his generation, shared the news with his fans and followers, expressing his enthusiasm for the new chapter in his career.
“Delighted to share that I’ve now got my UEFA Pro Licence! I have learned a lot while gaining the coaching qualification and now feel even more excited about what I can achieve as a coach. Thank you to all the tutors at The FA, as well as my close friends and family who have supported me,” Touré wrote.

The UEFA Pro License enables coaches to manage teams at the highest level, including in elite competitions such as the Premier League, La Liga, and the UEFA Champions League.
During his playing days, Touré enjoyed a glittering career, winning league titles with FC Barcelona, Manchester City, and Olympiacos, as well as clinching the UEFA Champions League with Barcelona in 2009. He also led Ivory Coast to their second Africa Cup of Nations title in 2015.
Touré has already dipped his toes into coaching, working with Tottenham Hotspur’s youth teams and other developmental roles in recent years. His latest qualification solidifies his ambitions of making a lasting impact in management.
Football fans and pundits alike are eager to see how Touré will bring his wealth of playing experience and tactical insight to the touchline, with many speculating he could soon lead a team in one of Europe’s top leagues.
