A New Dawn in Sierra Leone’s Aviation Sector
Poised to become a symbol of national pride, Air Sierra Leone will connect Freetown with key West African capitals, including Abidjan, Accra, Monrovia, Banjul, Dakar, and Conakry. The airline’s centerpiece will be a direct route to London Gatwick Airport, marking the first such connection between Sierra Leone and the UK since 2016.
Scheduled Flights and Strategic Routes
The inaugural flight to London Gatwick will depart from Lungi International Airport, with regular flights scheduled three times a week. Flights from Freetown to Gatwick will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 10:40 AM, while Gatwick to Freetown flights will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00 PM.
Fleet and Pricing
Air Sierra Leone’s fleet includes the modern Boeing 737 Max 8 for the London route, ensuring a high-quality passenger experience. Other aircraft in the fleet, such as the Boeing 737-400 and Embraer ERJ145, will serve regional routes. Tickets for the London route are competitively priced at $999, with a limited-time promotional rate of $750 for early purchases.
